After such a dreadful moment yesterday (thought I was going to have to give up running for a while) I am back on track.
Went to see The Footman, who quickly diagnosed me and put in the direction of required treatment. So no tears today - just smiles.
Headed out this morning for an easy 5km, caught up with Tesso who had just finished her speed session and started on the Regatta Run.
Felt like cheating to turn around early but thought it best to follow Dr's orders.
Can you believe it is just one week to Christmas??? Not much running time left in this year so must make the most of it. Have to keep the 5km up for next week with no hills or speed so just a cruisy few days coming up....

Glad to see the foot's good enough to run lightly on. Just be sure to take it easy and not overdo it. Having that time off over Christmas that you mentioned on your thread on Cool Running is a good idea. Give your foot time to recover and allow you to run pain free when you start again in January. You have achieved a lot this year. This won't be lost in a hurry. Good luck with your recovery.
Good to hear the foot is not as bad as first thought.
Take it easy for a couple of weeks if Pat allows it.
And keep on running.
Read you last Sunday adventure with interest. Congratulations on achieving your longest run todate. Noticed you post on my Blogg about enjoying rest days - yes they are glorious and to be savoured. Tesso sounds like she was in everyting last Sunday and a great time by her.
I will continue to read your Blogg with interest. Have a pleasant Christmas with you family and friends.
