Hill 15km Australia Day

Australia Day today.

Just a few of us keen to get up early and head out for a hilly run. Liz, Glenno, Geoff, Rach, Barry and I.

Met at St Lucia Golf Club at 6am and left bang on 6 for the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. As you can imagine it is a 7.5km hilly run along semi-deserted roads with lots of river and tree scenery. A beautiful run and we were all in the mood to share it with everyone...except for that damn truck that nearly wiped us out coming home!!

My whole body felt tired today. Seems to be a theme for my Thursdays. I persevered but certainly slowed down coming home. We had gone out a bit fast going out and it caught up to me. It was very hot as well and none of us had water so we were all drinking like camels at the water stops along the way.

A great way to start the day -followed of course by the obligatory vegemite toast at the Golf Club surrounded by beautiful views.
